The students of KG II ‘B’ conducted a special assembly on Tuesday, 4th July, 2023 to celebrate the occasion of “Doctor’s Day.”
The young students presented a thought for the day, the familiar quote we have all grown up with, “An apple a day keeps the doctor away”. This set a positive tone for the assembly by emphasizing the role, nutrition plays in maintaining our health and well-being.
Following this, the students portrayed a short skit involving different types of doctors, namely dentist and pediatrician. These scenarios served as teaching moments for the young audience, illustrating the role of specific doctors in addressing different health concerns. The skit aimed to promote awareness among students about the importance of seeking appropriate medical care and maintaining healthy habits, such as cleaning teeth regularly and a routine health check.
In addition to the assembly, the school nurse took the stage to enlighten the audience about the role of safety in the school environment, besides emphasizing the importance of handwashing and maintaining a healthy environment.
In the teacher talk section of the assembly, the teacher further reinforced a sense of respect and gratitude in students towards the contributions of doctors not just on this special day but every day.
The assembly was entertaining and informative, a small step by the Pre-Primary students of NPS NORTH to express appreciation for this worthy fraternity.
