Dussehra, a major Indian festival is celebrated for 10 days, and is celebrated in diverse ways in different parts of our vast country, however, the core value signifying victory of good over evil remains the same. Dussehra signifies the victory of Lord Rama over the demon King Ravan.
Highlighting the significance and keeping up the tradition, a special assembly was conducted by the Pre-Primary students of NPS NORTH on 13th October 2023 with great zeal and enthusiasm. The festival was well integrated with colour red.  Red is one of the most powerful colours, which denotes strength and power.
Students and teachers came dressed in red coloured ethnic clothes. The assembly began with school prayer and thought for the day. The teachers explained the significance of the festival followed by a presentation which highlighted the festive celebration and the confluence of colours. The young learners sang devotional songs and also presented a rhythmic dandiya dance.
The festival celebrations continued by students doing various activities in their respective classes such as decorating an elephant cutout, making of Dussehra cone dolls with red colour chart paper and KG 2 students created interesting finger puppets of Lord Ram and Sita.
It was a day filled with interesting and enjoyable learning, reflecting brightness, joy, love, and happiness in these young learners.
