In a remarkable display of creativity, students of Grade VI orchestrated a special assembly that celebrated the essence of two festivals, namely Onam and Vara Mahalakshmi Vrata. Commencing with a profound quote by Mahatma Gandhi, the students set the tone for the assembly’s theme—importance of preserving heritage and embracing cultural values.

With articulate presentations, the young students illuminated the significance of Onam and Vara Mahalakshmi Vrata, underscoring the importance of unity, prosperity, and the empowerment of women. The legendary tale of King Mahabali and Vamana was brought to life through a vivid portrayal, accompanied by the rhythmic beats of the Chenda, which added an authentic and dramatic touch to Mahabali’s entry.

The dance performance exquisitely captured the spirit of tradition and added a touch of vibrancy to the assembly. The reception area was transformed into a canvas of colours with a beautifully crafted and vibrant floral carpet, the traditional Pookalam, enhancing the ambience, also serving as a lively backdrop for many photos of students and staff alike.

The assembly served as a true embodiment of the cultural values and traditions associated with Onam and Vara Mahalakshmi Vrata, leaving a lasting impression on all present.
