
On 21st of January 2023, Saturday, NATIONAL PUBLIC SCHOOL – NORTH celebrated its FIRST ANNUAL DAY – Pratibimb – A Confluence.
Mrs. Shantha Chandran – Mentor Principal of National Public Schools was the Chief Guest at the Annual Day celebration. The Chief Guest addressed the parents, students and teachers highlighting the role of parents and teachers in raising a community of responsible students.
Dr. Chaitra Harsha, CEO of Edufrontiers Educational Trust, NPS NORTH, an entrepreneur and renowned educationist addressed the gathering on the emerging role of educational institutions, in shaping 21st Century India.
Director Principal Mrs. Vandana Sanjay, Dean Mrs. Charulatha Prakaash, Research and Training Head Mrs. Elsie Thomas, Mentor Mrs. Reeta Tikoo and the Principal NPS -NORTH Mrs. Devi S Nair presided over the function.
‘Travel through the Magical Book’ was the theme of our Annual Day.
Students from Pre – Primary to Grade VI stole the show with their immaculate and mesmerizing performance on the stage.
Pre – Primary students danced to the tune of music from different states of India while Primary students delved deeper into the culture, values and learning from countries across the world. Students of grade I and II presented beautiful dances of Japan, UAE and Indonesia. Students of grade III tapped their feet on the beats of Mexican music and presented a dance.
Students of Grade IV chose English literature and performed on – ‘Alice in the Wonderland’, coupled with the melodious rendition of Wordsworth’s poem Daffodils. The journey through Bhutan was spiritual and soothing to the soul.
The performance of grade V was mesmerizing as they took us to the ancient land of Egypt, highlighting their contribution to mathematics and Science. The history of Native America, the indigenous tribe and their ecological wisdom were depicted by adding on the perspectives that the current generation must ponder on and imbibe too.
Students of Grade VI depicted the glory of India. Eminent Indians from different walks of life were enacted by the students with elan, coupled with beautiful portrayal of culture and dance forms from different states. The auditorium reverberated with the spirit of patriotism as the energy and enthusiasm of students was infectious and it left an indelible impression in the mind of the spectators.
