“Little hands, big smiles, and bright colours turned the morning into a festival of joy!”
The students of KG 1, National Public School NORTH, presented a vibrant and joyful special assembly on Ganesh Chaturthi integrated with Orange Colour Day on Friday, 22nd August. The celebration began with the Thought for the Day: “Big ears listen more, small mouths speak less—wisdom.” The little ones thoughtfully shared the importance of listening attentively and speaking only when required, setting a reflective yet cheerful tone for the day.
The students went on to highlight the significance of the festival and explained why the colour orange was chosen for the celebration. They beautifully connected it with laddus and marigold flowers offered during the occasion, and also linked orange to positivity, energy, and warmth.
To make the celebration more engaging, the students sang melodious bhajans, reminding everyone that “no celebration is ever complete without song and dance.” They showcased lively movements and songs that truly brought the festive spirit to life.
A special activity added to the joy of the day—students expressed their heartfelt wishes and strung them together into a bright and beautiful garland, which they lovingly presented to Lord Ganesha. The sight of the children collaborating with enthusiasm and creativity made the celebration even more memorable.
The entire event radiated happiness, togetherness, and colour. As one could say, “Festivals are not just about rituals, they are about creating memories with joy and laughter.” The celebration indeed filled the atmosphere with cheerful vibes, leaving everyone smiling and inspired.
