A special assembly on World Animal Welfare Day was conducted by tShine bright, sparkle more, and let the light of Diwali illuminate your life!

The Pre-Primary corridors came alive with laughter, colour, and the glow of diyas as our little stars celebrated Diwali combined with Festivals of Lights Around the World. The special assembly was a delightful mix of joy, learning, and togetherness, where every child radiated excitement and festive cheer.

The morning started with the calendar and a thoughtful message — “Diwali is the time to celebrate life, spread happiness, and cherish every moment with loved ones. As we light diyas outside, let us also ignite the lamp of truth and wisdom within.” These words set the perfect tone for the celebration that followed.

Our tiny narrators took everyone on a magical journey through Grandma’s Tales, beautifully retelling stories from different states of India and highlighting the true essence of Diwali. Dressed in vibrant traditional attire, they used language as a bridge to connect with their young audience, spreading warmth and joy with every word.

The celebration didn’t stop there! The children happily explored how the Festival of Lights is celebrated worldwide — from Hanukkah in Jewish tradition to Loi Krathong and Yi Peng in Thailand, the dazzling Lantern Festival in China, and even the sparkling Festival of Lights in Berlin. Each performance radiated with creativity and enthusiasm, conveying a beautiful message of unity and shared joy across cultures.

The grand finale brought joy as the children sang a lively Diwali song and painted their own earthen diyas. With glowing smiles and glittering lamps in their hands, they took home not just a craft, but a symbol of light, love, and togetherness.
he students of Grades IVC and IV D on 16 October 2025 to raise awareness about the importance of kindness and compassion towards animals. The programme began with a thought for the day, followed by an introduction to the significance of caring for all living beings.

A skit titled ‘Animals Are Our Friends’ was performed, demonstrating the students’ engagement. Through straightforward dialogues and actions, the skit illustrated how small acts of kindness, such as feeding stray dogs or maintaining cleanliness, can have a meaningful impact. It highlighted that animals experience pain, fear, and love, emphasising the responsibility to protect them. During the assembly, the teacher discussed the importance of including animals in everyday life.

The assembly concluded with the students affirming their commitment to treating all living beings with kindness and compassion, alongside a final message that kindness towards animals reflects the kindness within individuals.
