On March 10, 2026, National Science Day was observed at National Public School, NORTH Campus, in alignment with this year’s theme, Women in Science for Viksit Bharat. The assembly aimed to underscore the indispensable contributions of women in science while fostering scientific curiosity and innovation among students.
The proceedings commenced with a Thought for the Day, which set an inspirational tone for the event. This was succeeded by a brief address that elucidated the significance of Science Day and emphasised the importance of cultivating scientific thinking among young learners. Notably, students from Grade X presented an informative skit illustrating advancements in modern engines, specifically focusing on electric-assisted turbocharging. This performance effectively demonstrated the interplay between science and technology in enhancing efficiency and sustainability within engineering.
Additionally, a vibrant dance performance by students from Grades I and II contributed to the celebratory atmosphere of the assembly. Another significant segment featured students who wore attire representing eminent women scientists, accompanied by short speeches highlighting their groundbreaking contributions to science, thereby inspiring the audience with their accomplishments and commitment to scientific advancement.
The assembly culminated in a melodious song, written and composed by students from Grade VII, which celebrated the spirit of scientific inquiry while recognising the pivotal role of women scientists in fostering a developed India (Viksit Bharat).
Overall, the assembly proved both informative and inspiring, successfully raising awareness of the critical importance of science and the remarkable contributions of women in shaping the nation’s future.
