Saluting Bravery: National Public School, NORTH Commemorates Kargil Vijay Diwas

National Public School, NORTH observed Kargil Vijay Diwas on 27 July 2026 with great pride and reverence through a special assembly dedicated to honouring the unparalleled courage, sacrifice, and dedication of the brave soldiers of the Indian Armed Forces. The programme commenced with the school prayer followed by the Thought for the Day.

Students brought to life the stories and remarkable achievements of Kargil War heroes through stirring role plays, shining a spotlight on courage, determination, and selfless service. A mesmerising dance drama traced the soldiers’ journey from intense training to their steadfast devotion to protecting the nation.

The celebration soared to an emotional high as students from Grades 1 and 2 performed a heartfelt dance to the stirring melody of ‘Ae Watan’, expressing deep gratitude and love for the motherland. The assembly drew to a close with an uplifting message and a poignant two-minute silence, honouring the brave soldiers who gave everything for the nation.

The programme stood as a stirring reminder that true patriotism is found not only in remembering the sacrifices of our armed forces, but also in embracing our roles as responsible citizens, fostering unity, and working together to build a stronger, more prosperous nation.
