The Pre-Primary Department of National Public School – NORTH celebrated Friendship Day, integrated with Purple Colour Day, on 30th July 2026 with great enthusiasm. The special assembly was presented by the students of KG II C, who showcased the true spirit of friendship through a variety of engaging performances.
The assembly began with a prayer, a calendar update, a thought for the day, and news headlines. A creative magic show demonstrated how the colours red and blue combine to make purple, symbolising that wonderful things happen when friends work together. The celebration began with a charming skit, The Elephant and His Friends, which highlighted the values of kindness, acceptance, and the beauty of helping one another while celebrating our unique differences. A fun friendship dance wrapped up the special assembly, filling everyone with a warm sense of joy and excitement!
As a meaningful classroom takeaway, the students enthusiastically crafted colourful friendship bands and tied them on each other’s wrists, expressing love, care, and appreciation for their friends. This simple gesture reinforced the importance of sharing, kindness, and building lasting friendships.
The celebration was a heartwarming reminder that friendship makes every day brighter, while the colour purple represents creativity, compassion, and togetherness. The event left everyone with beautiful memories and smiles to cherish.
