Kindness in Action: A Stand Against Bullying
On 17th August 2026, National Public School, NORTH initiated the Anti-Bullying Week with a special assembly designed to raise awareness about bullying and to promote kindness, respect, and empathy.
The assembly began with the School Prayer and Thought for the Day, followed by a brief talk on the need to stop bullying in all forms. A highlight of the assembly was a captivating skit titled ‘A Small Act of Kindness,’ performed by a talented group of students. Through their engaging portrayal, they showed how simple gestures of support can significantly impact others’ lives. The skit poignantly conveyed the importance of speaking up for vulnerable people and helping peers in need. A Teacher’s Talk provided valuable insights, reminding everyone of the power of kindness and the vital role respect plays in interpersonal relationships. The teacher encouraged students to seek guidance from educators and parents whenever they encounter bullying, reinforcing the idea that they are never alone in facing such challenges.
As the assembly neared its conclusion, a resounding message echoed: small acts of kindness can create substantial change. The sentiment hung in the air, inspiring students to adopt an attitude of compassion towards one another. The assembly concluded with the National Anthem. They left with an invigorated sense of purpose, ready to stand together against bullying and make their school a beacon of kindness and support.
