Bringing Shapes to Life Through Art
Students explored the world of shapes through a creative Shape Collage activity, applying their understanding in an engaging, hands-on way. Using cutouts of various shapes, they thoughtfully designed and assembled their own unique collages, transforming learning into artistic expression. This interactive experience not only reinforced shape recognition but also enhanced their fine motor skills and encouraged imaginative thinking.
This hands-on activity gave Pre-primary students the opportunity to learn number recognition and numerical value through play.
After being introduced to the numbers 1 to 10, students engaged in a structured activity where five hula hoops were arranged in a circular formation, with balls placed in the center.
While walking around the circle and singing “Ring-a-Ring-a-Roses,” students paused when the song ended and moved to the nearest hula hoop, where they collected the corresponding number of balls based on their assigned number.
This interactive activity enhanced number recognition, helping the students connect numbers to their values in a fun and engaging way.
