CBSE -Capacity Building Programme
Promoting mental Health and Wellness Among Students
If children live with security,
They learn to have faith in themselves and others.
If children live with friendliness,
They learn the world is a nice place in which to live.
On 14 February, 2026, faculty members from National Public School, NORTH, took part in a Capacity Building Programme designed to enhance the promotion of Mental Health and Wellness Among Students. This valuable session was led by esteemed CBSE Resource Persons, Ms. Renu Elizabeth Benny and Ms. Sreevidya M. The primary goal of the programme was to empower teachers with knowledge about the identification, prevention, promotion, and management of Mental Health and Wellbeing through a Whole School Approach.
Educators spanning from Pre-Primary to Senior Secondary Grades came together for this enriching one-day experience, eager to delve into meaningful discussions and address the mental and emotional health issues. The educators engaged in interactive activities that included thought-provoking case studies, lively group discussions, and role-playing scenarios, all designed to strengthen their understanding and response to students’ diverse needs. The sharing of personal insights and the collaborative spirit present throughout the day not only deepened their competence but also enhanced their ability to create a supportive environment for their students.
This training session was more than just a learning opportunity; it was a collective journey towards fostering empathy and patience in addressing mental wellness challenges. Educators left with renewed commitment and valuable strategies to collaborate with stakeholders and provide essential support for the students they care for.
