Excitement, Colour, and Unbridled Joy laced the Green Day Celebration
“Love the Earth, Keep It Clean!”
On a euphoric Friday, 20 June 2025, the Pre-Primary students of National Public School – NORTH joyfully celebrated the beauty and bounty of Nature, by beautifully integrating it with the vibrant Green Day theme. Dressed in delightful shades of green, our little environmentalists came together to express their love and respect for Mother Nature.
The celebration began with a special assembly, where students confidently presented the thought for the day:
“Nature is the purest and greatest form of treasure you can ever come across.”
They shared the significance of the colour green—symbolizing life, renewal, and harmony with the natural world.
Students participated in a series of meaningful, hands-on activities to understand the importance of taking care of our Earth:
Nursery students engaged in a creative handprint activity, illustrating their personal connection with nature.
Students of KG 1 and KG 2 explored the concept of recycling by tearing old newspapers, soaking them in water, and adding seeds to create seed balls—an eco-friendly activity promoting plantation and sustainability.
With great enthusiasm, they pledged to say no to plastic, plant more trees, and save water, proudly embracing their roles as little nature superheroes.
It was a day filled with joy, learning, and green spirit, sowing the seeds of environmental awareness in our young minds—nurturing their understanding, responsibility, and love for the Earth through simple yet powerful actions.
