Educational and Recreational Trip to Grameen Camp, Bengaluru
-An Experiential Learning Journey Beyond the Classroom
On Wednesday, 7 January 2026, students from Class 9 and Class 11 embarked on an enriching educational and recreational trip to Grameen Camp in Bengaluru. Rooted in the principles of experiential learning, the day offered opportunities to learn not just through observation but through active participation, collaboration, and reflection. The experience complemented classroom learning by nurturing life skills, social awareness, and emotional well-being.
From the moment students arrived, the welcoming environment encouraged curiosity, openness, and interaction. Shared meals—breakfast, lunch, and snacks—became moments of bonding and gratitude, reinforcing values of community living and mutual respect. The informal setting helped students transition smoothly from structured classrooms into a space of exploration and belonging.
Foosball sessions promoted teamwork, coordination, and strategic thinking. Students learned to plan moves, adapt strategies, and celebrate wins—or accept losses—with grace. The traditional game of Gajagoli (Kho-Kho) blended physical fitness with mental agility. Quick reflexes, sharp decision-making, and team coordination were on full display. A tractor ride offered meaningful rural exposure, giving students a firsthand glimpse into agrarian life.
This simple yet impactful experience bridged the gap between textbook knowledge and real-world contexts, fostering appreciation for farmers, rural livelihoods, and sustainability. Such encounters cultivate empathy, grounded thinking, and social awareness—core outcomes of experiential education.
The Grameen Camp trip was more than a recreational outing—it was a holistic learning journey. By blending play, rural exposure, teamwork, and joy, it reminded students that education extends far beyond textbooks and thrives on experiences that shape character, empathy, and resilience.
