Students of KGI and KGII at National Public School NORTH embarked on an exciting educational field trip to the Baking Unit, Hebbal University of Agricultural Sciences.
The primary aim of the field trip was to provide preprimary students with an engaging, hands-on experience promoting learning through exploration and discovery. Students were shown around the baking facilities, including ovens and mixers, which gave them a fundamental understanding of the baking process too. The team gave a brief and age-appropriate talk about the ingredients used in baking such as flour and sugar, measurements, and mixing while also highlighting the importance of hygiene and safety in the kitchen.
Students also visited the museum where they saw various exhibits related to agriculture, historical farming tools, and local agricultural practices. The interactive nature of the trip provided a practical, enjoyable way for children to learn about baking and food preparation, fostering interest and curiosity.
The combination of interactive baking and exploration of agricultural history provided a diverse and engaging learning environment for the young learners.
