Unleashing Wonders: A Day of Discovery at Jeeva Park

The students of Grades III and IV from NPS NORTH set off on an educational field trip to Jeeva Park. They were then divided into small groups, each led by a guide to explore the location. As the students wandered through the lush surroundings of the park, they were guided on the best ways to approach the animals gently and respectfully. One of the most thrilling moments of the visit was when the students were invited to hold a ball python and an iguana. The students could hardly contain their excitement as they carefully cradled the exotic reptiles in their hands, marveling at their unique textures and vibrant colours. The students observed emus strutting confidently about their enclosure, while gentle ponies stood patiently, waiting to be petted. The students adored feeding the animals, and their faces lit up with joy as they offered treats to the turkeys, ducks, and vibrant lovebirds flitting about.

The information about the animals’ natural habitats, and unique eating habits added to the experience of the students. Laughter and chatter filled the air as the students shared stories from their morning adventures. As the students made their way home, the excitement in the air was palpable, mixed with a newfound appreciation for the animal kingdom. The visit to Jeeva Park was not only educational but also immensely enjoyable. It deepened their understanding of animal diversity and the importance of protecting both animals and nature.
