The Kindergarten Graduation Day Ceremony is a happy and momentous occasion for schools and families as they gather to celebrate the culmination of their students’ preschool years.
Saturday, 18th March 2023 marked the beginning of a more formal system of schooling in the life of the pre-schoolers as National Public School- NORTH celebrated Graduation Day of their first batch of KG II students.
The programme began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest, CEO, Principal and Academic Dean. It was followed by a well-choreographed and gracious performance of Ganesh Vandana by KG 1 students.
The Chief Guest, Mrs Reeta Tikoo, Academic Advisor and Mentor for Mathematics at NPS ITPL, felicitated the students with the Certificate of Graduation. She also addressed the audience, reminding the parents that it is these young kindergarteners who will shape the future of our country and hence it is pivotal for parents and teachers to ensure that these young impressionable minds imbibe all the values of being good human beings, honest citizens, and disciplined students.
The school Principal Mrs Devi Nair announced the ceremonial declaration of the Batch of 2022-23 as graduands and wished them a brilliant future ahead.
The KG II students were smartly dressed in blue graduation robes and caps and sang a thank you song for their parents and teachers. They all took a pledge to save the planet and to care for each other with their healing hearts and hands. It was indeed a joyous and memorable day for not only the little ones but also a proud moment for the parents. While the school photographer captured many smiles and claps, it also captured a few moist eyes as the parents could not help few tears of happiness roll down their faces, to see their wards standing up on stage with such confidence and poise.
KG 1 students bid a happy farewell to their fellow classmates by dancing to the tunes of “It’s a Beautiful Day”, showing highly coordinated movements that promptly set the tone and mood of the atmosphere.
Graduation is an exciting time for both an ending and a beginning. It preserves warm memories of the past and big dreams for the future. Their time in preschool being precious and memorable, we wanted to offer our students and parents the chance to celebrate the closing of their preschool years while awaiting new experiences to come.
The entire event was characterized by a mixed balance of the solemnity of the occasion, along with the innocence of this age group, a dash of cuteness overload and the contentment of having the first batch graduate.
