On Friday, 27th September, Pre-Primary students at NPS NORTH celebrated Grandparents’ Day with great enthusiasm and passion. The event began with a prayer and shloka, setting a warm and respectful tone for the day.
The students presented a heartfelt welcome speech for all their beloved grandparents, highlighting the invaluable role they play in the lives of their grandchildren.
The day commenced with enthused students presenting songs, reciting rhymes and dancing to melodies,cherishing grandparents presence in their livesThese presentations evoked nostalgia and joy, making the grandparents feel special and acknowledged.
Following the performances, a variety of engaging games and activities were organised in all the classrooms where students teamed with grandparents to participate in entertaining challenges such as Bulls Eye, Lemon and Spoon races, Balancing the Coin and others.
The excitement continued with rounds of Dumb Charades and Antakshari, showcasing their creativity and sense of fun. A special activity, ‘Decorate the Photo Frame’ was arranged for grandparents to decorate alongside their grandchildren and take it home as a memorable keepsake.
Many grandparents shared their experiences during the event, expressing their happiness for being an integral part of the lovely celebration.
To let the memories be framed for life, a delightful photobooth was decorated, allowing families to capture precious moments together while enjoying the tasty treat at the food truck , adding to the joyful ambience, making the Grandparents’ Day celebration a tremendous success, creating lasting memories and strengthening the bonds between generations reiterating the vital role of grandparents in our lives.
