With hearts full of energy and minds open to peace, students of Grades III to VIII at National Public School, NORTH came together to celebrate International Day of Yoga with great zeal and spirit.
This year’s theme, “YOGA FOR ONE EARTH, ONE HEALTH,” beautifully reminds us of the deep connection between personal well-being and the health of our planet. Through mindful movement, breathwork, and reflection, our students embraced this message in the true spirit of unity and wellness.
Students were introduced to the ancient art of yoga and its profound benefits on both body and mind. Selected students confidently took the lead, demonstrating various asanas, guiding their peers through the sequences with grace.
A yoga prayer was recited, followed by a moment of silence and reflection, bringing a sense of calm over the gathering. A soothing meditation session helped everyone centre themselves, embracing the stillness within.
Thoughts were shared on the importance of integrating yoga into daily life—not just as a form of exercise, but as a way to harmonize the body, mind, and soul, reinforcing this year’s global message and how yoga can be a powerful tool to improve not just physical health, but mental clarity and emotional balance too.
The celebration concluded with a heartfelt closing prayer and the national anthem, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of unity, calm, and joy.
