On the occasion of National Bird Day, the Grade II students at National Public School – NORTH conducted a special assembly to raise awareness about the importance of birds. The assembly began with a powerful thought where the importance of birds in maintaining ecological balance was emphasized. It was followed by a melodious Hindi song performed by the students, celebrating the beauty and diversity of birds.
The assembly included a fun and engaging quiz on birds, which saw enthusiastic participation from students across grades. Grade II students shared many interesting facts about different species of birds, highlighting their unique characteristics and habitats.
The program concluded with a thoughtful teacher talk segment, wherein she discussed simple ways to protect and care for birds, such as providing water in summers, planting trees, and avoiding the use of harmful chemicals in gardens.
The assembly was both educational and inspiring, leaving students with a greater appreciation for the role of birds in our ecosystem and the need to protect them.
