On Saturday, 26th October 2024, NPS NORTH hosted a one-day workshop focused on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This workshop was organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, led by Ms. Dorcus Preethi as the trainer from the Centre of Excellence (COE), Bengaluru.
This event highlighted the groundbreaking “Light House” project, designed to establish model schools that embody the principles of educational reform. The workshop featured a series of presentations from educators who addressed various subject-specific themes pertinent to NEP 2020, illustrating how different academic disciplines can effectively integrate with the policy’s goals.
The staff of NPS North engaged in discussions on curriculum enhancements, emphasizing skill development, new assessment techniques, and hands-on, innovative teaching methods that foster student-centred learning.
The session culminated in a collaborative evaluation, offering the team an opportunity to reflect on their experiences and exchange valuable insights on the practical implementation and impact of NEP 2020 within their teaching environments.
