Math Magic: Celebrating Creativity and Logic on National Mathematics Day!
NPS-NORTH proudly celebrated National Mathematics Day on January 6, 2026, embracing the enthusiasm and creativity of mathematics as a dynamic and practical subject. The programme commenced with a warm introduction, the school prayer, and an inspirational thought for the day, setting a reflective tone for the event.
Students from Grades 1 and 2 energized the audience with a lively flash mob, followed by a presentation highlighting the significance of National Mathematics Day. This segment emphasized the legacy of renowned mathematicians and the vital role of logical thinking. Another student presentation focused on mathematical constants like π (pi) and zero, explaining their critical contributions to both scientific and everyday calculations.
Grade 3 showcased their creativity with a Math Tools Fashion Show, while Grade 5 delivered an engaging skit that illustrated the importance of mathematics in daily life. Grade 4 dazzled the audience with a graceful dance that depicted angles and directions.
A teacher’s talk underscored the essential role of mathematics in cultivating analytical and problem-solving skills. The celebration concluded with the National Anthem, leaving students inspired and engaged.
