‘ A strong collaboration between home and school is the key to student achievement.’
Parents and teachers share a common ambition: to guide our students towards achieving their fullest potential. In May 2026, National Public School, NORTH, hosted engaging Orientation
Programmes for different Grades specifically designed for parents. The primary objective of this initiative was to introduce parents—who play a pivotal role as partners in progress—to the latest developments in the curriculum, school regulations, teaching methodologies, and a variety of co-scholastic activities offered.
The sessions underscored the importance of active parental involvement in their children’s education and development. Attendees participated in discussions regarding classroom routines, discipline policies, and academic expectations, ensuring they had a comprehensive understanding of the dynamic environment where their children would be learning and growing. Parents received an in-depth overview of core subjects.
Subject-specific strategies were shared through an informative PowerPoint presentations, detailing critical aspects such as mark distribution, assignments, and project work. This thoughtful breakdown aimed to equip parents with the necessary tools to support their children academically. Furthermore, the orientation program extended beyond academics, addressing the important area of students’ emotional well-being. Parents were encouraged to spend quality time with their children, fostering a nurturing environment essential for their development.
The programme concluded with a lively question-and-answer session, allowing parents to voice their concerns and seek clarifications, thereby further strengthening the partnership between home and school in nurturing the next generation.
