The Pre-Primary students of NPS NORTH celebrated Thanksgiving Day with great joy and gratitude on Friday, 21st November 2025. The celebration began with the Thought for the Day:
“Be thankful for small things; they bring unparalleled joy.”
To honour the spirit of gratitude, the students invited the support staff members to express their heartfelt appreciation. The young learners connected with them through a short Kannada speech, followed by a melodious rendition of the Dhanyavadagalu song. Their warm expressions brought smiles of admiration
from everyone present.
The highlight of the event was a mesmerising dance performance, where the students brightened the atmosphere with the spirit of gratitude. As the students performed the Kannada song and delivered their speech, the support staff members clapped along joyfully, expressing their encouragement and acceptance of the honour. As a token of love and appreciation, the students designed ‘Thank You’ cards for the security staff, drivers, administration staff and akkas. For their classroom reflection, the students participated in a ‘Sharing Feast’ role-play. While seated together in a circle, they passed around a soft toy, and each child expressed gratitude by saying, “I am thankful for…” and shared something special.
The Thanksgiving celebration truly helped the students understand the essence of being grateful and the joy of acknowledging the people who support us every day.
