Grade II students celebrated the vibrant Sankranti festival with great enthusiasm, through a special assembly on 16th January 2025. The event highlighted the spirit of flying kites, the joy of harvest, and the richness of cultural traditions.
They performed traditional songs and dances, showcasing the diverse cultural heritage associated with Sankranti. A heartfelt tribute was paid to farmers, acknowledging their hard work and dedication, which forms the backbone of our society.
The teacher talk explained the significance of the festival with regard to the end of the winter solstice and the movement of the sun. She further elaborated how this festival is celebrated across the country by different names.
The celebration was a wonderful blend of learning and fun, leaving students with cherished memories and a deeper appreciation of their roots.
