Senior Secondary Educational Visit to IISc Open Day 2026
Igniting Curiosity: National Public School, NORTH Students Explore Cutting-Edge Science at IISc
On 7 March 2026, Senior Secondary students and educators from National Public School, NORTH, undertook a curated academic visit to the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru. As a cornerstone of our commitment to advanced science communication, this engagement aimed to provide students with a direct window into the forefront of scientific research and technological innovation. The visit was designed to bridge the gap between classroom theory and professional practice, allowing our students to observe the rigour of a world-class research environment and interact with the next generation of scientific pioneers.
The students experienced thematic learning environments in which abstract concepts were made accessible and tangible. The learning formats included public lectures and science exhibitions, hands-on demonstrations and poster displays, and Interactive competitions like quizzes and problem-solving challenges that encouraged critical thinking and the real-time application of scientific logic. The Physics departments offered a comprehensive look into both theoretical and applied research, providing our students with significant exposure to high-level instrumentation and modern physical theory. The practical application of chemical synthesis and the study of symbiotic biological systems were highlighted through live experiments and ecological displays. These demonstrations underscored the relevance of these disciplines to industry and environmental conservation.
The visit to the IISc Open Day was meaningful and effectively stimulated scientific curiosity and professional aspirations among our senior secondary students. Interacting with professional researchers in such a prestigious environment has undoubtedly reinforced the importance of academic excellence and inspired our students to pursue innovation at the highest levels.
