National Public School – NORTH commemorated World Braille Day on 6th January 2025. The atmosphere vibrated with fervour as students, teachers, and staff converged to honour the visionary who empowered millions.
The assembly began with a warm welcome by the hosts, who explained the importance of World Braille Day, marking the birth anniversary of Louis Braille, the inventor of the Braille system.
The students delivered a well-researched presentation on the history and development of Braille. They highlighted how Louis Braille revolutionized accessibility to education and knowledge through his invention.
A heartwarming skit depicted the life of a visually impaired student and how learning Braille empowered them to excel academically and socially. The performance emphasized the importance of inclusivity and empathy in education.
The assembly successfully fostered a deeper understanding of World Braille Day, while inspiring the school community to be advocates for inclusion and equal opportunities.
