Students of Grade VIII B at NPS-NORTH held a special assembly for World Environment Day, on June 5, 2024, highlighting this year’s theme: “Land Restoration, Desertification, and Drought Resilience”.
The assembly featured a collective pledge, where students and staff committed to adopting sustainable practices, reducing plastic usage, and spreading awareness about environmental issues. Grade VIII B students sang a motivational song, “Chalo Milke,” emphasizing the importance of saving the environment together. Students shared insights on saving the environment being the need of the hour, urging every citizen to adopt eco-friendly habits and to strive for conservation and a sustainable future.
Additionally, the teacher’s talk encouraged environment enthusiasts to join the “United Nations Environment Programme #Faith4Earth Youth Leadership,” offering a unique opportunity to champion restoration. The assembly concluded with the national anthem, and a strong message to keep the momentum going and continue to work together towards a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable world. Remember, change begins with us.
